10. Improvement

The last chapter the High Level Structure for management system standards is ‘improvement’. One of the assumptions that form the basis for modern management is the idea that things always can be improved.

First of all to comply with the standards you are implementing you will have to addres non-conformities (Clause 10.2) but the cherries on the pie come with Clause 10.3; Continuous Improvement. Interesting is that it requires to continously improve the system itself, and secondly refers to considering needs and oppertunities that came up during the process.
